People love to talk about the ways that search engines determine their rankings. I always advise our clients to stay away from trying to find "the edge of the algorithm" or any practices that are manipulative because of the risk these tactics carry, but the search engines continue to have many limitations on what they can do, and how they interpret what they see.

With the impact of Google's Panda algorithm update being felt in the U.S. and UK, there has been much discussion about not putting all of your marketing eggs in Google's basket.
Here are three marketing and public relations techniques you could use, regardless of whether Google and other search engines exist.
Analysts do not see clear Facebook's force in online commerce (e-commerce). Merchants are experimenting with FB Pages, like buttons, and social networking.
However the general opinion is that FB will not become a strong player in e-commerce field.
Google recently announced its "+1" button, which will allow anyone reading one of your pages to "vote" for it back on the search results page (eventually, Google plans to make it available for you to add to each page of your site).
This sounds like an experiment in social media, doesn't it? Well, it is, with one major difference...
